I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent standard of the accomodation at West Drip Farm. We have stayed several times at Hawthorn Cottage and also Rowan Cottage. The little touches like fresh flowers on the table, tea, coffee, milk in the fridge and shortbread on arrival after a long journey are very welcome, and a thoughtful gesture! Both properties are immaculately clean and well equipped and offer a comfortable, peaceful, relaxing base handy to all the amenities in Stirling and also for exploring the beautiful Trossachs area. The owners are very helpful and friendly, respecting the holidaymaker’s privacy but also being available if required if a problem arises.

Roshi: We’ve had such a lovely Easter break at Rowan Cottage that I had to drop a few lines just in case any of you were thinking of visiting Stirling, Scotland. We had gloriour weather right from our arrival till the minute we left. I know I’m showing off but believe me you would too if you return from Scotland with an actual tan! The cottage is located in the middle of peaceful and breathtaking farmland. We had a lovely cup of tea and our kids had hot chocolate courtesy of our wonderful host Eleanor. Her caring and thoughtful touches made the stay ever so comfortable. The view from the kitchen window is just to die for. It actually makes washing up quite glamourous! Dishwasher? What dishwasher? The short drive from the main road to the cottage serves as a sound proof barrier from any traffic noise. Bedding was clean and fresh. Pillows and mattresses were just super and extremely comfortable. We had lovely breakfasts and evening drinks on the sunny patio. Eleanor you have done us and Scotland proud. Long may you reign. xxxx

craven: We stayed in all three cottages over a period of 5 weeks whilst we where on business in Stirling, all three properties are fantasticly fitted out and are so comfortable that our stay was a pleasure. Eleanor was brilliant from the moment we contacted her to the day we departed and I would recommend this accomodation to anyone (only wish we had been on holiday whilst staying) looking to visit the area.
Thanks Eleanor

kate ronaldson: Had a brilliant long weekend in Rossburnlane Farmhouse and hope to return in the future. Would highly recommend the accommodation as one of the best my friends and I have stayed in over the years. Eleanor made us feel so welcome and has thought of everything to make a stay here most enjoyable.

Jackie Bowie: We have stayed at both Rossburn Farmhouse and Hawthorn cottage. Both were of an excellent standard – lovely and clean and warm. The WiFi was a blessing for our teenage son! The location of the cottages is great for days out. It was lovely to stay in accommodation which felt like a home from home and I can certainly recommend both cottages – although Rossburn comes out on top due to the wood burning stove!

Gary & Barbara McCracken: Rowan Cottage was a delight to stay in! The Cottage was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The location was stunning and so central to all the places we wanted to visit. The WiFi was especially appreciated by our two boys!
Would highly recommend

Janet Lawson: Stayed in Hawthorn Cottage for a really relaxing week in August. The cottage had everything we needed, was well laid out for people with mobility difficulties and was spotlessly clean. The little touches like the welcome tray, the fresh flowers and the toy collection (three adults happily passed a morning mucking about with the kids’ toys!) made for a home from home atmosphere. The WiFi connection was a great feature, allowing us to check out things like opening times and post codes for local trips. Two good supermarkets within easy reach and the scones at Dobbies Garden Centre (only two minutes away at the end of the farm road) come highly recommended.
For any first time visitor, be sure to follow Eleanor’s instructions on how to reach the cottage – satellite navigation systems don’t help once you come off the M9 and one of my party got frustratingly familiar with the Stirling Park and Ride site, rather than finding the calm haven of the cottage!

Malcolm and Norma: We spent a great week in Rowan Cottage after an impromptu decision to have a weeks hiliday in Scotland. Everything was geared towards our enjoyment and the cottage was equipped to a high standard with up to date, new furniture and electrical goods, not with second hand ‘cast offs’ like some properties we’ve seen.
From the flowers on the table, milk in the fridge and initial supplies of tea and coffee the whole week proved to be a relaxing and throughly enjoyable experience. The location is blissfully quiet and yet within easy reach of the Trossachs of such attractions a s the Falkirk Wheel. If you’re lucky, as we were, you may see Roe deer grazing in the fields next to the cottage and some great sunsets if photography is what you’re into.
With the open plan of the cottage no-one is banned to the kitchen to prepare meals and it becomes a real communal affair with a glass of wine or beer oiling the wheels.
Eleanor and Andrew have done a fantastic job at West Drip, long may they continue.

Sarah Ruffle: This was our second stay in Hawthorn Cottage and we were certainly not disappointed, both times the place was immaculately clean, and fully furnished with everything you need re cooking, entertainment and advice re sightseeing. The owners are attentive and have some really nice touches, especially the fresh milk and tea/coffee and shortbread so you can have a refresshing drink after a long journey, and the flowers are a real homely touch. It is a home away from home and really spacious, plus all disabled needs catered for. An excellent base for many tourist areas and attractions, after 2 visits we are still not done!

Zoe and Tam: Another wonderful stay in Scotland at Rowan Cottage! This is our third time back and I cannot rate the cottage(s) highly enough having stayed in both over the last couple of years. The cottages are furnished to an extremely high standard and I would never tire of the wonderful view from the kitchen window … summer, spring, autumn or winter! We genuinely feel this is our home from home when we visit family in Scotland from our current home in KL.The warm welcome from Eleanor and Andrew, and the small touches like flowers, and weekly cleaning, make this a truly wonderful holiday home. We’ll be back soon!

Dr Samrat Roychowdhury: Spent a school holiday week in Rossburnlane House: an example of perfection! Fantastic location, impeccable refurbishment & a wonderful welcome; every little detail was cared for…………….starting from a small bottle of milk to washing powder. Great wi-fi connection speed! Hard to improve on this perfection! We will return to stay for a longer period of time………..and would recommend it to one and all!

Fiona and Tom: We would highy recommend Hawthorn Cottage.
We stayed over Easter and it was just perfect.
Beautiful location, fantastic standard of accomodation and some really thoughtful finishing touches that made us feel really welcome.
Ideally situated to explore the surrounding area and only a 5 minute drive from Stirling.
We will definitely be going back to West Drip Farm!

We stayed at Hawthorn Cottage between the Christmas and New year period. We found the cottage to the highest standards, spacious, clean and everything you could possibly need to make you feel home from home. it was so homely and little extras that just added that special touch Eleanor is so welcoming and really made us feel welcome. The cottage is ideally situated away from the hustle and bustle but just a short drive way from the centre of stirling with a nice view of Wallace monument on a clear day. So much to see and do. We went to celebrate Hogmonay at Stirling castle i really recommend this if you are looking for something different to do over New Year.We will definately be back some day and i totally recommend it

We stayed in Rossburnlane Farmhouse for a week in October. The facilities were excellent with the log burning fire making the house very cosy on chilly nights. With a 5 min drive to Stirling it makes a fantastic base with Brackland Falls in Callander, Aberfoyle’s Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Lake Katrin. Would definitely come back.

We have had the pleasure of staying at the bungalows on 2 occasions!!
Other friends had recommended the area & bungalows – and we like them were not disappointed!
Eleanor welcomed us with a lovely warm property and had left tea/coffee/biscuits (Scottish shortbread) and milk. The aroma was second to none helped no doubt by the beautiful vase of flowers left on the table in mid October. Both of the bungalows are spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. Eating houses are plentiful in the area with some coffee shops (like dobbies) on your doorstep.

Our family of five spent a delightful week at Hawthorne House last August. We had plenty of room to spread out and the 2 bathrooms was a plus! It rained a lot and we made good use of the laundry facilities! Don’t know that it was meant for this use, but the living room sliding door curtain rod made for a great drying rack! Our children were especially happy to have access to wi-fi. The central location allowed us to make the most of day trips to places as far away as Kintyre, where we searched out our ancestors to Loch Ness/Inverness. Other highlights included a cruise on Loch Lomond, catching the Hogwarts Express in Ft. William, and highland games near Perth. We probably put 1000 miles on the rental car! If you visit the Wallace Monument, I recommend catching the shuttle ride to the top and then climbing the hundreds of steps! We appreciated the great view, Eleanor’s hospitality and great recommendations for restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Riverside restaurant. We would definately recommend this accomodation to anyone!

Stayed at two of the three cottages for business purposes. Both were very clean, homely and comfortable and fitted out very well with great facilities. Lovely quiet location, but also close to the centre of Stirling for anything you might need. Eleanor is extremely friendly and welcoming and always willing to help with anything you might require. A great place to stay for business or holiday purposes.
